This is a funny, whimsical story in which an old woman swallows items starting with letters of the alphabet, from A to Z. Some of the items swallowed include an ant, a feather, an iguana, noodles, a ukulele, and a zebra. Each spread features illustrations by Ela Smietanka. I worked in collaboration with an editor, creative director, senior art director, freelance illustrator and prepress coordinator. Once a pagination of the story was received from the editor, I was responsible for providing initial thumbnail sketches and art direction of page layouts, manipulating any necessary artwork, and formatting all art and text in Adobe InDesign.
